The palace is also home to the Silver Pagoda, which boasts a floor made of 5000 silver tiles and houses many treasures, including a solid gold Buddha.

Day 1 – Phnom Penh arrival
Welcome to Phnom Penh – the capital of Cambodia.
We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2 – Phnom Penh city tour
This morning we will visit the Independence Monument. From here we enjoy a cyclo ride to the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda.
Afternoon, we visit the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917.
Then, stop by the Russian Market.
Heading to enjoy a one-hour sunset cruise on the Mekong River.

Day 3 – Phnom Penh – The Killing Field
Visit the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia’s bloody past under Pol Pot.
It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime.
This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle.
The rest of the day is on your personal options. Free time at your own leisure till departure transfer to the airport.
